Oil Forced Coolers

Oil-forced air-forced heat exchangers for cooling power transformers. Finned aluminium tubes, 100% tested at 5.5 bar, over-dimensioned by a minimum of 10%.

Oil Forced Coolers
01Overview

About this product.

Convett-manufactured oil forced air forced heat exchangers are designed for cooling power transformers. Finned aluminium tubes are connected by tube sheets, with a special resin protecting the sheets from corrosion.

Each cooling element undergoes 100% testing at 5.5 bar and is fitted with oil headers for collecting and guiding oil to the transformer’s oil circuit. Standard components include air vents and drain plugs. The cooling element goes through an 8-hour cleaning process with a specific transformer oil system equipped with 20-micron filters. The unit is over-dimensioned by a minimum of 10%, allowing tube plugging if needed.
